Peter Blake’s Alphabets (Back to Bexhill)

Today I have taken part within a group trip to a very familliar location to assist in my curent and future projects, Bexhill, as a new exabition has been opened within the local seaside gallery. This year exhibit is a collection of typographic works bellonging to a famous graphic design named Peter Blake.


Sir Peter (Thomas) Blake is well known British pop artist most famously know for his music album sleeve designs, as well as his typographic work with the alphabet, which was being placed on display with Bexhill. Some of works included “The First Real Target” and more notably, a album cover the Beatles, “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”.

In 1981, Blake became a Royal Academician, as well as a CBE in 1983. Peter was even knighted by the queen in 2002 due to his services to the world of art within Britain. He is currently an Honorary Academician at the Royal West of England Academy, Bristol.
